Bioderma Sensibio H2O Review

Lisa Eldridge really hit it on the head when she did a video on how to remove makeup effectively. I noticed she mentioned Bioderma Sensibio H2O and how well it worked to remove traces of makeup.

My first reaction after seeing it was – What a hella pricey Water, but ohhhh, it looks super gentle. Not just it looks gentle but this stuff feels just like water…. Water that claims to whisk away all your face and eye makeup.

Product Description : A cleansing and make-up removing water that respects the fragility of sensitive skin

Price :   USA : $20 (250ml) , $14 (100ml) , ♦ India : Rs 860 (250ml) Rs 599 (100ml), ♦ UK £18.99 (500ml)

My Thoughts ?

I have stayed away from makeup removers for pretty long time. I had few remover bottles that I stopped using after one or two days.
Remember those drugstore makeup removers out there that leave oily residue and sting your eyes ??? Yuckssss…

Before Bioderma H2O happened…. I used to like Dermalogica Pre Cleanse a lot. But that stuff is too expensive for everyday use and besides that it always gave me cloudy eyes.

Coming back to Sensibio review, this one also removes my eye-makeup effectively. You need to keep the soaked pad on your lids for a minute of two and all the makeup including concealer is GONE (plzzzz no rubbing here). I like how well it works and there is absolutely no stinging issue, no cloudy eyes and zero redness. But sometimes I feel my waterproof mascara loaded lashes need baby oil.

I use two or three cotton pads soaked in Sensibio H2O for my face and neck. It effectively removes all layers of my makeup. The softness and smoothness of my skin after using this is noticeable. My skin never feels tight or dehydrated after using it. The water like texture with no scent and residue makes it perfect for daily use.

Always wash your face with a good face cleanser post removing makeup and even if you are using world’s best makeup remover, skipping the cleansing part is not recommended. For me the night-time skin ritual includes : removing makeup – cleansing – toning – serum(ing) – moisturizing. But YESSS there are days when I hit the bed and completely forget all of these.

Sensitive and acne prone skin do need gentle care when it comes to removing makeup and dirt. So a product like Bioderma Sensibio H2O really helps. It has one of the best formulation that works for any skin type !

This is what I was looking for my entire life – Removing makeup or cleansing with this doesn’t tug or irritate my skin. The Non-drying & Gentle formula leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. What else I can ask for ! 🙂
