My Experience :
A good base makeup is one thing we all desire that should be able to hide our skin flaws and at the same time suits our skin tone nicely so that we don’t look like a color mismatch :D. Kryolan TV paint stick foundation is one such product that gives a great coverage and lasts long.
This TV Paint stick by Kryolan had been in my wish list since long and finally I picked it couple of months back when I found Kryolan in my city. Yes, Availability is a serious issue with Kryolan products as it is not easily sold online too. But now let’s get on with my review on this amazing foundation by Kryolan.
Shade: Kryolan has given proper alphanumeric shade names to all its products. You get a huge shade selection in this range and it is always better to try the shade once at the store before buying. Numbers can be confusing but a trained MUA can always help you out with it. I tried this shade on my jaw line at the store and it was a perfect match. So #626B would suit light to medium skin tones with a mild yellow undertone. Talking about MAC shade, this foundation would suit NC 35- NC 37 quite easily.
Texture: TV pan stick is actually a creamy foundation in stick form. It is very creamy and easy to apply on the face. For blending it in, you need to be a little quick and blend it quickly using your fingers. If you are quick enough and you face is well moisturized then the foundation blends in perfectly and hides almost all your facial flaws.
If you are not that quick or find the blending part difficult then I would suggest you to use a make-up sponge. Spray some rose water on it and either blend the foundation directly on your face. Or you can also take the foundation first on the sponge and then apply it on your face. The latter way helps you to apply the foundation with a light hand and best suited for office-goers while applying directly by rubbing the pan stick on your face results in a heavier coverage.
Use it any way but the result is awesome. The foundation covers almost all your acne marks, pigmentation or redness and gives you a bright glowing skin. If you don’t suffer from dark under eye-circles then no need for any separate concealer too as the TV paint stick takes good care of that. The coverage is full and lovely. Layering up the foundation (in this hot weather) has been easy too and doesn’t look cakey. But believe me; layering it is not required ;).

Staying power: The foundation easily stays on for 6 hours on my normal to dry skin in this hot summer. In cooler season, the staying power can easily improve up to 8 hours. Although it gives a matte finish still I do set it later with a compact/loose powder as I tend to sweat more if I step out of the house. As it provides a heavy coverage so it tends to clog the pores and so sweating can be a problem in summers. I do find sheen on my face after an hour so setting it becomes necessary. This foundation is quite water resistant too.
Packaging : The TV paint stick comes in a twistable stick form of pack. It is very easy to operate the pack and apply the foundation. It has a very convenient and travel-friendly packaging with all the necessary information mentioned on the pack and outer carton.
What I Like 🙂
- Huge shade selection so one can easily find the right shade to match their skin tone.
- Provides full coverage.
- Creamy that blends in easily
- Stays on for several hours.
- Provides a matte finish which is a boon in this hot season for all skin types.
- Decently priced
- Heavy coverage hides all the facial flaws including light under eye circles too.
- Effective packaging
What I Dislike 🙁
- The foundation may stick on to the dry patches of your skin especially in winters so moisturization is a must before applying it.
- Availability is limited.
- Tends to clog pores so you may sweat more in a non-AC environment.
Final Verdict: If you are looking for a full coverage foundation or better say a 1 step base makeup (foundation+concealer+compact), then Kryolan TV paint stick is definitely for you. I am using it a lot these days as applying this creamy stick foundation is easy and quick.
