Faces Magneteyes Kajal –
( Review, EOTD & Swatch )
by Sanchita
Kajal is an indispensable item in the kitty of a woman. Can you ever think of a day when you can happily skip the item for an entire day? No, it is next to impossible for me. Every brand is in the race to manufacture waterproof, smudge-proof and budget friendly kajal now-a-days. Well, good for us, we get to try so many good ones. 😉 .
So after Maybelline Colossal, Lakme eyeconic, L’Oréal Magique – Faces launched their kajal with retractable budget friendly feature as well. Being a kohl lover, how could I stay away from this?
Let’s dig into the details of the Faces Magneteyes Kajal and see if it is worth including in your vanity or not.
PRICE – Rs. 175/- for 0.35 gm.
My Experience ?
PACKAGING – The outer packaging is a simple cardboard one filled with the necessary details printed on it. The kajal comes in bright red retractable pencil with a tight shut cap. The packaging is bright, beautiful and chic. The efficiency is unquestionable and can be travelled with easily. It is retractable and hence you won’t lose the amount while sharpening.
SHADE & PIGMENTATION – the shade is jet black – like seriously. Single swipe is enough to win your heart and it is wonderful to wear it. The intensity will startle you instantly. The color not only shows up well on the hand swatch but is equally impressive on the waterline and lids as well. Overall, I am totally happy with the shade and pigmentation.
TEXTURE – the kajal is totally soft and creamy. The first time when I tried to apply it, it broke immediately. The creaminess is both good and bad as you won’t have to tug and pull on the eyes but slightest of the pressure will break it off. It glides like a dream on my waterline and surprisingly doesn’t sting or irritate the eyes at all.
FORMULA– The kajal is total waterproof and no matter how much you splash your face, the kohl won’t budge at all. I even once washed my face with a foaming cleanser and still it didn’t budge – impressive! The smudge factor is there but definitely it won’t destroy your look. It does smudges but after a good 6-7hours during a humid summer day. It will also smudge if you try to rub your eyes.
STAYING POWER – the staying power is pretty good as well. It stays on my eyes for around 8hours and smudges slightly. The removal is time consuming job and you really need an effective eye cleanser to wipe it off completely.
Overall, given the price, it is really an effective and budget friendly product and definitely worth a try if you are a kohl lover. This one is a great option for a daily kajal which works great for colleges and offices. The texture, pigmentation and staying power is worth praising for.

Deeply pigmented shade. Looks nice. I am personally loving the Lakmé Absolute eye liner. Expensive but it stays put on my oily lids and watery water line.
