KRYOLAN DERMA COLOR CAMOUFLAGE CREME D34
( Author ~ Sanchita )
You know when you are born with genetically ugly dark circles, there nothing much you can do other than blame the genes. But then, I am stubborn and flaunting dark circles isn’t something neither I want to learn nor have learnt over the years. Thanks to color corrector, whoever invented, I can finally conceal.
Kryolan is a makeup lover’s paradise and there range of products is colossal! I went over their official and stumble upon around 9-10 types of foundations which can be pretty much used for concealing, color correcting, foundation, contouring and the list counting. I ran immediately to the nearest Kryolan store to buy the Dermacolor Camouflage Crème for concealing. I have to say, the SAs are extremely friendly, helpful in choosing shades acutely and not nagging to buy products as well.
Enough blabbering, let’s head straight to the review!

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a small tub with green screw lid. Although it is a bit unhygienic every time to use a finger but due to its texture it can only be packaged like that. The shade that they gave me was a mixture of peach and orange which seemed good enough to conceal the dark circles. I have pathetically shadowy dark circles with sunken structure eyes that contributes more to the darkness. No amount of concealer can fix this and therefore I have to use an orange color corrector. My skin tone is somewhat between NC40-42 with strong yellow tones.
The texture of the cream is very thick, almost like a cake foundation. The SAs told me to warm up the product between the fingers and simply pat on the areas. Sometimes, I also used a flat concealer brush which also works pretty well to my skin. Dragging the color under the eyes may hurt and that is why I simply pat the color to set it. It conceals the dark circles completely, giving you sunken eyes a good lift and clear look. To brighten the under eyes area, use a highlighting concealer and set it with a powder to get the flawless look.
The concealer is creamy and sets into a dewy finish. It doesn’t dry out the skin or feels heavy. It might look cakey if you are not careful enough to blend it. Keep on patting gently until it looks natural. It creases a lot if you do not set it with a powder. It works very well with my oily skin but for dry skin, I would suggest to use a very good moisturizer or eye cream otherwise it will be cakey, emphasize the dry areas and you will not be able to blend the product into the skin.
Although this shade in particular is for concealing, there are other shades of Dermacolor Camouflage Crème (the range has 60 shades!) which may be exactly like your skin tone and you can use it as a heavy duty foundation. The product stays on me for around 9-10hours easily without a speck of touch ups. I never found it melting or fading and it kept the skin intact. I wore it for wedding, parties and numerous gatherings but it never disappointed me.
I found the price of the product is extremely reasonable. Color corrector is something not every brand manufactures, as I have only come across MAC, Bobbi Brown (in India) and they definitely are not something with a reasonable price tag. Comparatively, this one is worth every penny and used by various MUAs all over the world.
