MAC Cremesheen glass Deelight – Review, Ratings, Swatches
I write about lipsticks and lipglosses a lot on this site and my collection is expanding, but the issue that bothers me a lot is the lack of comfort and longevity that most offer. Although there are some great products that make the whole experience of wearing a lipcolor more pleasant.
So what happened when I purchased one of MAC’s famous lipglass…. have a look
Packaging – MAC Creemsheen Glass comes in a lengthy slender tube which totally transparent and enables you to identify the shade properly. It has a black screw cap with a doe foot applicator. The shade name is also written below. The doe foot applicator is the next to perfect thing for the texture of Creemsheen Glass or any lip gloss for that matter. It spreads the lip gloss on the lips evenly without any patchy application and perfect for the coverage. Overall, the packaging is quintessential MAC lip gloss which is light weight, effective and doesn’t create any mess white travelling with the little beauty.
Shade – the shade “Deelight” is described as the ‘mid tone neutral’ by the MAC website. However every glass has its own projection of various skin tones. The shade on NC37/NC40 skin looks like an earthy peachy neutral tinted gloss. It is subtle, natural looking and doesn’t have any shimmers or look very gaudy. You can wear it alone as well as on top of any earthy peach, pink or neutral lip color. The color airs up extremely well with both smoky eyes as well as neutral eye makeup. It is an excellent choice for wearable office lip color.
Texture & Formula – the texture of the lip gloss creamy yet light. Well, that’s where the beauty of the MAC products lie. The formula is glossy and gives an enormous amount of shine and sheer tint to the lips. It also hydrates the lips to a certain extent. It won’t hurt much even if you apply it on dry lips because the moisturization takes care of that. Despite the creamy formula, the MAC Creemsheen Glass feels light and elusive on the lips which is totally comfortable to wear. It doesn’t have any stickiness, which several lip glosses has and finishes smooth.
Smell and Pigmentation – the lip glass has the typical vanilla smell which every lip glass and lipstick of MAC has. It is really mild and won’t hurt the nose at all. The pigmentation is sheer which is extremely evident. It doesn’t cover any blemish if your lips happen to have. You can hides the pigmentation with an MLBB color or a slight wash of concealer.
Staying power – the staying power is something around 4-5hours and it does survive snacks and light drinks. After heavy meals it does require touch ups. The staying power is better than other lip glosses and hydrates the lips throughout.
Overall, MAC Deelight is one of a kind lip gloss which look amazing with any makeup on – be it loud eyes or simple neutral. The only complain is the price factor of MAC which has been hikes way too high. Other than that, the shade is a must have for every girl because of its sheer exquisiteness.
