Lakme Maximum Moisturizer Winter Intense Review and Ratings
( Author : Sanchita )
Hello everyone 🙂
Winter calls for moisturization and this is the time, we oily skinned girls, start looking for a blanket of moisturizer to deal with dry skin. Yeah, we actually feel blessed because our skin’s own oil factory does gives us some nourishment and we don’t end up with parched skin all over. My only concern while choosing a moisturizer is that, I don’t want acne issues. This time I tried to experiment with the Lakme Maximum Moisturizer Winter Intense which has been there in the market for quite some time now.
Let’s see what I have to say for this.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION (company claims ) – This intense moisturizer pampers, smoothens & leaves your skin with a sheer gloss like finish.
PRICE – 110 INR for 60ml
MY Experience with Lakme Maximum Moisturizer ?
The Lakme Maximum Moisturizer Winter Intense comes in a pearly white bottle with a flip open cap which is further sealed off in a cardboard box. You get all the necessary information and overall it was very elaborate. The pale white look of the packaging gives quite a ‘pale wintery’ sort of feeling. The bottle is light weight and I find it super comfortable to travel with and the cap is totally mess-free with no chance of spillage. All in all, I liked the nice and simple packaging.
The moisturizer is white in color. The smell doesn’t resemble anything but the overall aroma of it is surely captivating. It gives a smooth and refreshing odor to the skin when you apply and stays for a min or two. The scent reminds of the refreshing spray water I use during summer. The consistency is creamy and not at all runny. 1-2 dollop is just fine to hydrate the face and neck in winter. Being a winter moisturizer, I expected it to be slightly heavy but thankfully, it works very smooth and light weight on the skin.
This is a kind of moisturizer you would want under regular BB/CC cream which I prefer to use over foundation any day. You need to apply it well and blend it by massaging into the skin. It takes around 2-3 minutes to get absorbed by the skin before I move on to the sunscreen. It moistures the skin thoroughly and evenly without the much-dreaded greasy feel. Since, I have oily skin, slightly heavy moisturizers (even in winters) looks greasy but I am surprised that the skin look nourished yet non greasy. This is one of the best thing what I liked about it. Due to the non-greasy feel, it doesn’t break out as well.
Even if you apply the cream, after a regular CTM procedure, it gives you a fresh dewy glow which is something to be admired. It has glycerin and sunflower seed oil which is very light weight in skin and enriches the skin from within. However, I didn’t prefer the inclusion of parabens in the moisturizer.
Coming the efficiency of it, it keep the skin hydrated for around 4-5hours in winter. After then, you would definite feel the need to moisturize it again. Dry skin might need a little extra nourished if you are prone to dry patches. Underneath makeup, it doesn’t make the base makeup slide off or look greasy and feel even and enhanced. I believe the only prominent thing which is lacking in this product, is the presence of SPF to wear it during daytime. The moisturizer is good but not something very hydrated or nourishing for bedtime but can be worn for other purposes.
OVERALL – for the price, this can be called as a good nourishing moisturizer for oily skin only in winters.
