MY REVIEW
Packaging – Faces Canada Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder has the most unique packaging for which it is a raved one. It comes in a round black small bowl sort of structure with a silver top accompanied by a handle. Inside the bowl, there is a sifter which enables you to see the powder. This sifter can’t be removed. On the silver top, there is an applicator, made of soft puff material, is attached for applying on the face. The silver cap has a twist lock function but isn’t flimsy at all. My concern was about the hygiene issue with the sponge but later I realized that you can take it out, wash it and put it back. The packaging may seem a bit confusing but is one of the bets I have seen. It is so easy to carry, especially during traveling and touch up on the go. The only issue is that you need to carefully tap out the product whilst using a brush but that is something very minor and can be overlooked. Overall, I loved the packaging a lot.
Shade – the shade I bought is called Sand Beige and one of the deepest shade. It has an abundance of warm undertones that prevent the face from looking ashy and goes well with my NC 35-40 skin tone. The shade card isn’t very impressive as usual with no shades for deeper complexions. However, the inclusion of warmer undertones was a bit of a savior. Also, the quantity seemed to be a little low for the price.
Texture – The texture is surely a fine milled loose powder which has the lowest chance of looking cakey or accentuating on dry patches or fine lines. The silky smooth texture blends on the skin very well. It works best on top of any foundation, BB/CC Cream or even a plain moisturizer or sunscreen. It makes the pores look smooth and diminished. Since this is a non-comedogenic product, it will not clog the pores, suffocate the skin and wont breakout either. The texture is light weight and feels nothing heavy at all, almost weightless.
Coverage – the coverage is light to a buildable one. I wasn’t expecting much coverage because drugstore loose powder can give up to a certain limit but this performs better than I expected. On your good skin days, you can simply apply this on top of BB/CC Cream or sunscreen and step out of the house.
Finish – The powder has a matte finish. Having said that, it is not a ‘dry and parched matte’ but more of a satin soft matte, enough to take away the oiliness or shine from the skin without making it look dull and lifeless. The really love the balance of matte in the finish which looks so natural and photographs very well. It can be used by most of the skin types.
Longevity – The powder stays on the skin well and keeps the skin oil free for around 4hours even when it is hot and humid out there. For me, it worked good enough and that it why I see myself reaching out to this literally every day since I have bought it. The powder gives the natural matte look and prevent the skin from looking ashy or whitish even when I was sweating profusely. For the price, it works really well.
OVERALL – Faces Canada Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder is a satin smooth loose powder, works great for every purpose, making the pores smooth and with commendable oil control and not to mention, the incredible packaging surely one of the best in the drugstore market

I’d been reading to so many good things about this product. Nevertheless, shade selection is still a problem for me 🙁 I’ve a deep, dusky skin tone.
